Being a multi-medium artist and art teacher, I often choose the medium after I decide my subject.
I feel subjects have moods and these help to dictate medium selection in order to capture the emotional aspect and response I want to convey.
In my mind's eye I see a painting which sets off a passionate force to create with inspiration and feeling an impatience to sketch it.
Then to paint it using a palette of hypnotic colors!
