Gail Eckberg "My art rises from inspiration;
Inspiration rises from my life;
Life is my art."

-- Gail Eckberg

Being a multi-medium artist and art teacher, I often choose the medium after I decide my subject. I feel subjects have "moods" and these help to dictate medium selection in order to capture the emotional aspect and response I want to convey to the viewer.

In my mind's eye I see a "painting" which sets off a passionate force to create with inspiration and an impatient feeling of having to sketch the scene immediately, then paint it from a hypnotic color palette, before the mood passes.
