"The Bridge in Winter" Medium:  Watercolor Size:   16"x20" (framed) When staying in Jackson, NH region, one early morning for a day on the ski slopes, captured the "Honeymoon" Bridge, which crosses the Ellis River, for a wonderful winter painting of N. E. This piece was chosen by Mithrus Law Group, U.S. and U.K. Immigration-International Business Services, for their 2008 Holiday Greeting Card.

"Pines in the Mist" Medium:  Watercolor Size:   16"x20" (framed) Through many foggy, misty days of winter, White Pine don't struggle against stormy weather. Rather, they turn an amazing blue-green color which contrasts with the snow, while sometimes are partially concealed by it.

"Abandon Famine Cottages" Medium:  Watercolor Size:   16"x20" (framed) You could almost hear desperate voices from Ireland's past, when walking among the stone ruins of famine cottages; voices of those who just left; those who were starving and sick; those who eventually died.

"View from Wells Harbor to Drake Island" Medium:  Oil Size:   16"x20" There are coves and inlets and fishing villages all over Maine, begging to be painted. It makes it difficult for the artist to pick and choose what scene to do.

"Student with Umbrella" Medium:  Oil Size:   8"x10" (framed) While waitng for a train out of Boston, I sketched people on the street. A young man trying to keep dry on a wet, dark afternoon caught my eye. In my studio later, I painted him.

"Canyon in Collage" Medium:  Watercolor Collage Size:   10"x13" (unframed) An artist could spend a lifetime painting or photographing the magnificent Grand Canyon and never complete two works of art alike. One has to spend time there to truly breathe in this natural wonder.

"Cat Tails" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  approx. 12"x24" (Unframed) As seasons change, nature continually has hand in offering the real, rare, and radiant stages of all flora and fauna.

"Moulin Rouge" Medium:  Watercolor on gold paper Size:  approx. 12"x15" (Unframed) Parisian scenes offer multiple reasons to be painted with strong color to depict the unique "City of Lights" - its atmosphere, "beat", beauty, and culture unlike any other (city).

"Fish" Medium:  thick glass showing original, watercolor art Size:  approx. 8"x12"x1/4" Cutting Board, Server, Cheese Tray - for everyone's kitchen! "Blue Heron" Medium:  Monotype Size:  approx. 10"x12" (Unframed) Hiking along an old Indian trail in Franklin, MA., a hidden pond camouflaged a still statue in holding its quiet stance as we passed.

"Vegetation Vigil" Medium:  Mixed Size:  approx. 5.5"x16" (Unframed) Mixed media of hand painted papers, mulberrry tissue collage, dried organics.

"Square Deal Garage" Medium:  Acrylic Size:  approx. 5"x11" (Unframed) This unique building, like any landmark, captures the eye and calls to be painted.

"Waiting Workboats" Medium:  Acrylic Size:  approx. 7"x9" (Unframed) As sun slips away at day's end, the harbor takes on a soft, hazy comforter.

"Reworking The Old Mill Road" Medium:  Pastel Size:  approx. 10"x15" (Unframed) While driving through a back road, an old mill building stands vacant as a new roadway is being constructed around it. Art can be found anywhere!

"White Jar with Oranges" Medium:  Acrylic Size:   approx. 8"x10"(Unframed) It didn't take too many objects when setting up this still life in my studio before the brush had to begin painting.

"Cali Lilies" Medium:  Pastel Size:   approx. 8"x10" (Unframed) The bride chose white lilies to off set the black tuxedos and gowns of the wedding party

"The Vanishing Farms" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  16x20 (Framed & Matted) Down the road a piece was a wonderful dairy farm, now dwindling to only a few Holstein. It would seem that even the cows feel the impact of technology and suburban sprawl.

"On Deer Isle, ME" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  16x20 (Framed & Matted) At the beginning or end of an island day, when there is inactivity, the waters are calmer, and the sky is clear, there is nothing like the feeling of being on top of the world.

"Old House, Pond & Willow" Medium:  Oil Size:  14x18 (unframed) This was the ideal spot to paint on location. The way the late day sun played on the side of the house and pond, pinks and purples of the Loosestrife, and the varying summer greens of the trees made for a pleasant painting time.

"Island Farm" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  16x20 (unframed) The enjoyment of staying on an island and painting its landscapes, highlights to this artist how sane life can be and how fast the mainland is caving in to progress, sprawl, technology, and a soft, unhealthy way of life.

"Celebrating Lupine Week" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  16x20 (unframed) Capturing the almost full bloom of the variaty of Lupine colors, from off white to deep red stalks with all the colors in between, is something everyone has to see for themselves to accurately describe.

"Frozen Pond" Medium:  Fine, soft pastels Size:  16x20 (unframed) As Fall disappears and the pond begins to freeze over, the ice becomes a mirror reflecting the shore fall foliage.

"Leaf of Faith" Medium:  Monoprint Size:  10 in. x 12 in. (unframed) Using the phrase "leap of faith" the artist let imagination take over with a dancing figure skipping over a natural leaf which created "Leaf of Faith", a one-of-a-kind, original art, monoprint print as it comes out of the press.

"On the Looking Glass" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  20 in. x 16 in. (unframed) A few pears setting on a mirror in the studio gave way to playfully experimenting with light and color which delights the eye.

"Northern Blazing Star's Comeback" Medium:  Oil on Canvas Size:  20 in. x 16 in. (unframed) Coming upon a landscape of pinks, violets, and purples was a such an amazing sight and demanded to be painted on the spot, even if a hint of what was actutally sighted made it to the canvas in the remotest way.

"First Morning Light" Medium:  Soft Pastel Size:  11 in. x 15 in. (unframed) While living in Maine, I owned and managed an antique shop which I loved doing. The enjoyment and appreciation received from unique old houses and objects, continues in my art.

"Old & New of Boston" Medium:  Oil Size:   18 in. x 14 in. (unframed) Walking around the streets of beautiful Boston can fill a sketchbook. Seeing contrasts of old brownstones with new and old John Hancock Buildings, against a summer sky, prompted this painting.

"Morning Over Winter Birches" Medium:  Watercolor Size:  8 in. x 7 in. (unframed) The uniqueness of white birches have intrigued me since childhood and long, lazy summers in N.H.

"First Cuttings" Medium:  Oil on Canvas Size:  5 in. x 7 in. (unframed) Having just a few colors left on my palette, the purple paint initiated thoughts of spring, then lilacs in bloom - the rest is history.
